Super Bowl Champion Harrison Butker Calls Out Joe Biden’s Abortion View Amidst Controversial Speech

by | May 15, 2024 | News

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker had the pleasure of giving a commencement address at Benedictine College in Kansas on Saturday, but took much of the spotlight away from the student body.

Butker is open about his beliefs and practice of traditional Catholicism, leading to him taking jabs at President Joe Biden’s views on abortion as well as the LGBTQ+ community.

“While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique,” Butker said. “The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder.”

Biden is considered the United States’ second Roman Catholic president (the first being John F. Kennedy), but Butker finds flaws in the claim.

“He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people it appears that you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,” the Chiefs kicker added.

His full speech has amassed more than 100,000 views on YouTube, with the comments making national headlines in recent days. The media responded with mixed reactions, some supporting his outspokenness and agreeing with his views, while others criticized Butker for being so harsh in a joyful moment for the graduates.

One of the NFL’s top specialists did not mince words when it came to ‘Pride Month’, seemingly attacking it as “dangerous gender ideologies” and referring to it as “the deadly sins sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it.”

The Chiefs organization declined to comment on Butker’s speech, according to the Associated Press.

As a three-time Super Bowl champion, Butker is making a name for himself as one of the greatest kickers in league history. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February 2024, earning another trip to visit Biden at the White House, but it’s unlikely fans will see Butker partake in the trip.
